Rashaad graduated with Bcom and LLB degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand.

He has managed many corporate mergers and acquisitions for clients of Norton Rose Fulbright.  Rashaad has extensive experience in employment and labour law, telecoms, commercial litigation, mergers and acquisitions, state owned companies, procurement, legal due diligence and regulatory reviews, general banking and finance, cross border financing, Islamic finance, lending and syndicated lending and project finance. Currently he specializes in general corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory and compliance advisory

Nthabiseng Mojela

Nthabiseng is a highly capable and knowledgeable professional with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Management, she is respected as a software support analyst.

Her passion lies with Quality Assurance (IT) focusing on developing and executing test strategies and test cases on automation and manual testing ensuring the quality delivery of products. Nthabiseng is also a valuable Trustee of the Sakhisizwe Community Trust (SCT) which aids black female youths who are underprivileged, unemployed, or disabled.

Martin is a qualified chartered accountant. He has knowledge of and experience in mergers & acquisitions, BBBEE structuring privatisations, valuations, due diligence reviews, stock exchange compliance work and financial modelling, both with local and international clients.

Nonhlanhla is a well-respected and experienced Director with a decorated history as a founder, investor and leader of various businesses over a variety of industries and in Government.

Nonhlanhla has exceptional professional skills in business strategic planning, analytical analysis and organizational development. She has served on several JSE listed boards including: Cadiz financial service, Capitec Bank, Etion, Tongaat Hulett, Pioneer Foods, WBHO construction among others. She is currently on the board of Zeder Investments and ABSA Bank.

Ethéne Steenkamp

Ethéne works on the origination and structuring of finance solutions to medium-sized privately owned businesses. With 25 years in this industry spanning investment banking, M&A advisory, leveraged finance, deal structuring and origination, private equity, mezzanine finance, and as an entrepreneur himself, he can identify with the realities of building and scaling a business.

Ethéne uses his wealth of experience to listen to clients and then applies these insights to deliver something that truly suits that entrepreneur.

Johan van der Poel

Senior Associate- SPEF I

Johan is a highly skilled finance professional with a robust academic background and extensive experience in corporate finance. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Business Science, majoring in Finance with Accounting, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PDGA).

Johan began his career at FirstRand Bank, where he completed his articles. During his tenure, he gained valuable experience in RMB's Corporate Finance team, specializing in mergers and acquisitions within the Real Estate and financial sponsor/Private Equity sectors. His expertise includes conducting valuations, identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities, conducting thorough investigations into target companies to assess their financial health and potential risks, creating and analysing complex financial models to support investment decisions, assisting in the management and strategic direction of portfolio companies, and playing a key role in the execution of transactions, including negotiations and structuring deals.
